How does one choose a home based business from the thousands that are out there? For me it was important to align myself with a company that had stood the test of time and had been in business for years with an excellant reputation. Another criteria was that it be environmentally and socially responsible. It also had to offer something I was interested in that would help people and that there was a large market for the product or service.
One important thing I learned was that to be successful you have to find something people want or need and then offer a product or service fill that need - in other words - find a problem and offer a solution. A big mistake many people make is that they fall in love with some product and then try to convince the world that they need it. This is exhausting, it bother's people and in short, it just doesn't work.
My final thoughts before making my decision was that the product or service be top quality - it had to be great, safe, and it had to work.
